Winter Update! Late Pledges, Pledge Manager, Off to Print, and More!

Lots of Updates! 

We have been hard at work behind the scenes since the project funded and we've made lots of progress. Everything is going right along as scheduled. Dare we say...ahead of schedule? (knock on wood). 

Pledge Manager/Late Pledges

Last week we sent out the pledge manager emails. If you did not get one, check THIS LINK if that still doesn't help, or if you have any questions about it, please reach out to us at: [email protected] and we'll be sure to get you sorted out. 

We currently plan on closing the Pledge Manager in late March, so get your selections in before then!

The Game is Ready!

As mentioned earlier, we have been hard at work behind the scenes. We've been testing and tweaking the rules and the models and are very pleased to announce that everything is ready for production and all print products are all currently with the printers! So everything is rolling along smoothly. 

Digital Fulfillment 

We currently plan to release digital products in Late March. This will happen right after we close the pledge manager, and just before we begin shipping physical product.

Meets the Monsters of Arja

Monsters!

Monsters play a big role in games in Brigands of Arja. In this update we will introduce you to the many monsters you will encounter in your battles. 

For those of you who want more monsters, we’ve also added Monster Packs as add ons!

Cyclops

Cyclops are the remnants of one of the old dying Ogre empires who inhabited Arja long before. The Ogres left no stone unturned trying to puppeteer the corpse of their dead empire but their hubris in magic turned them into even more horrific creatures. A majority of them seem to mindlessly wander the ancient tombs their empire once crafted beneath Arja. The ones who remain on the surface often ramble in a dead language, holding brief memories of magical artifacts that could make them whole once more.

Wendigo

The Wendigos were always present in Arja when the first Aurellian stepped on its land. It's often been debated amongst scholars whether they are the twisted magical remains of the Ogre empire or the original inhabitants of the land. Rarely do they communicate in friendly tongue, sticking mostly to rituals in their societies unseen by humans. They often attack either due to stepping near their territory or due to the mana imbued in various artifacts. 

Scorpio

Throughout all societies, safeguards have been put in place to protect magical artifacts, weapons, and other trinkets. A classic beast such as Scorpio’s often gets summoned to be a safeguard for such a magical object. While they are native to the world, these beasts are often extremely violent from their long slumber inside such an item and they crave destruction.

Orb Weaver

Similar to scorpio’s, Orb Weavers are beasts that get summoned as magical safeguards in protecting ancient treasures. However, these creatures are not present in any Aurellian archive before Arja. Their creation seems to stem from Ogres as they are twisted magical and unnatural beings in this world. If they are unleashed and not killed, they will infest such a land. 

Mimic

Mimics are twisted, monstrous beings often disguising themselves as a great desire from its victims. They are forever patient and endlessly ravenous knowing that their disguised presence alludes to possible fortune for their weak prey. They were never present before the disappearance from the Aurellians, leading some to believe they were awakened in the ancient tombs or perhaps a byproduct of the various horrific magical acts.

Eyescourge

Such a being should not exist yet the world still holds its terrors in the shadows. The first sighting of these Horrors happened sometime after the fears of abandonment from Aurellia trickled in. When the infamous Blood Moon first appeared in the night sky, the screeches of this flesh and magic consuming atrocity could be heard. They seem to seek out magic to consume its energy but the bones of man are a good substitute. 

Basilisk

The most legendary of monsters on Arja, the Basilisk is a creature the ancient ogres once attempted to control but its wrathful nature could not be conquered. Images of ouroboros are carved throughout the Ogre tombs and ruins, signifying their strength and endless cycle of life and death.

Another Milestone Reached

Hello Backers!

We have exciting news today. thanks to your continued contributions, we have officially passed the mark to unlock our latest Stretch Goal. All backers at the Box and All In tiers, both digital and physical, will now receive the Alternate Barbarian Leader figure included with their pledge at no extra cost.

This figure features a unique sculpt giving you more variety and personality for your leaders.

The Next Goal: Alternate Sorcerer

We are now moving toward our next funding goal. When we hit $25,000, we will unlock the Alternate Sorcerer Figure. This figure will also be added free of charge to the Box and All In tiers.

Introducing a Rules-Only Physical Pledge

We have received several requests from backers interested in a pledge level that includes the physical game components but not the miniatures. 
To meet this demand, we are formally introducing a new reward tier.

The $59 "Physical Rules" tier includes:

• The Hardcover Rulebook: The complete ruleset for Brigands of Arja.
• All Necessary Cards: Includes Warband Cards, Brigand Cards, Monster Cards, and other required reference cards.
• Game Tokens: All required tokens and ruler.
• Bonus Hero Model

This tier contains the core game system components required to play the game using your existing miniatures collection.
